Cortese dell’Alto Monferrato DOC frizzante

Grape variety: Cortese
Alcohol: 11.50 % vol.
Serving temperature: 8° – 10° C

The cortese grape is considered a variety native to the hills of the Alto Monferrato area of Piedmont, from where it later spread into the Basso Monferrato and into the Langa area around Asti. This white grape prefers chalky marl soils that are not too loose.
The grapes are gently pressed, then given a 10-day fermentation at 16-18°C.
Its slight fizziness and its lovely, crisp freshness make it a pleasurable, easy-drinking white wine.
