Bouquet: Very fragrant, with classic muscat aromas of ripe, fresh fruit
Palate: Sweet but with good crispness, pronounced emphatic varietal flavours and qualities
Moscato d’Asti DOCG “Monticelli”
Grape variety: Moscato Bianco
Alcohol: 5 % vol.
Serving temperature: 8 – 10° C
The extensive family of the moscato variety includes both red and white grapes. The name seems to derive from muscum or musk, a scent typical of this grape.
Soft pressing is followed by fermentation and subsequent prise de mousse in pressurised tanks.
